Title
Greenbelt Study (B)

Explanation
Pursuant to the committee's request, staff identified opportunities to increase bike/ped connectivity utilizing available GRU easements and City-owned properties, and prepared a preliminary assessment of implementation costs. Costs will vary as survey, design and extensive GRU coordination will be required. In order to construct trails within GRU easements the City must obtain agreement from property owners (easements must be amended to allow trail construction). The list of potential connectors includes both paved and unpaved trails, at an estimated cost of $151,000.

Staff recommends that this item be incorporated under Strategic Initiative 5.1 that deals with enhanced multimodal access to neighborhoods.

Fiscal Note
None at this time.

Recommendation
The Community Development Committee hear a presentation from staff.
