Explanation
Information was collected in a job audit questionnaire and in a job audit interview with the Account Clerk Senior. The job is responsible for the coordination/supervision of the billing and collecting of receivables and requires knowledge of the City's Billing and Collection division processes and procedures including relevant State laws and local ordinances. The position trains and supervises three Account Clerks in three separate locations, City Hall, GPD, and the Thomas Center. The position is comparable to two other Financial Services Coordinators within General Government Finance.
Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee recommends the reclassification of the Account Clerk Senior position, CWA pay grade HH ($34,176 - $42,250.32) to Financial Services Coordinator, CWA pay grade KK ($39,614 - $48,920) with an effective date of January 5, 2004, the same day that all other employees were assigned to positions under the new pay plan.

Recommendation
The City Commission approve the reclassification of the Account Clerk Senior position to Financial Services Coordinator with a CWA pay grade KK.
