Recommendation

The City Commission:  1) Co-sponsor with the Martin Luther King, Jr., Commission of Florida and the University of Florida Center for Race and Race Relations the "Building the Inclusive Community" forums; 2) authorize the City Manager to designate Jimmie Williams, Interim Equal Opportunity Director or his designee as the City of Gainesville liaison for the forums; 3) authorize the use of the Thelma Boltin Center and the MLK Multi-Purpose Center for community forums; and 4) authorize the City Manager to allow staff to replay the community forums on the public access channel.
