Explanation
Each year, the APPA holds a national conference and offers several sessions over a few days with speakers on various utility-related topics. The conference is intended as an educational opportunity for utility professionals and utility governing boards, as well as an opportunity to meet professionals from utilities across the country and be exposed to different viewpoints.
GRU budgets for two Utility Advisory Board members to attend the conference, with the expectation that they will share what they have learned with other board members. Staff is prepared to send two board members to the 2022 conference upon the board's agreement on which members shall attend.

Cost for the conference, airfare and hotel for two members is estimated at $8,000.
