This item is to ratify a three year successor agreement between the City of Gainesville and the IAFF - District Chiefs Unit.
Explanation
This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between the IAFF, Local 2157, District Chiefs Bargaining Unit and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the IAFF, Local 2157, District Chiefs Bargaining Unit on January 8-10, 2018. This Agreement extends the current Collective Bargaining Agreement through September 30, 2020.
A copy of the Agreement is on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Commission. After January 18, 2018, the Agreement will be on file in the Human Resources Department.
Fiscal Note
The FY18 cost of approximately $17,500 is budgeted and available in the General Fund. The cost associated with FY19 and FY20 raises is approximately $15,500 and $22,000, respectively.
Recommendation
The City Commission ratify the Agreement between the IAFF, Local 2157, District Chiefs Bargaining Unit and the City of Gainesville, extending the Agreement through September 30, 2020.
