explanation

At its meeting of May 29, 2001, the Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft a resolution relating to cemeteries.  Section 7-9 of the Code of Ordinances provides that annual care and prices for interments, disinterments, and reinterments relating to cemeteries must be amended by resolution.  The new fees are effective as of October 1, 2001.

The City Commission at its meeting of August 13, 2001, adopted the ordinance amending the perpetual care and exchange of interment rights, and requested a report by the City Manager be attached as backup to the proposed resolution.
