Explanation

On November 10, 2003, the City Commission referred this item to the Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee.  On January 22, 2004, the Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee requested that the Clerk of the Commission and Community Development Director be present at the next Personnel & Organizational meeting to discuss how many students should serve on the Plan Board and Development Review Board, how long active members should serve on the boards, how the boards establish a quorum, and how the new members are selected

On March 25, 2004, the Personnel & Organizational Structure Committee discussed the quorum term limits for the City Plan Board and Development Review Board.  The Committee requested that the City Attorney's Office review the code requirements and bylaws for both boards to determine what might have to be changed in order to adjust the quorum requirement for the Development Review Board & the Plan Board.  The Committee recommended that the City Commission discuss the issue of term limits for board members.
