Title
Resolution for a Locally Funded Agreement (LFA) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for acquisition of Right of Way for Enhancements of the Depot Avenue Transportation Corridor Project (B)

This item is a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Locally Funded Agreement (LFA) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the City of Gainesville and the Florida Department of Transportation for Enhancements of the Depot Avenue Transportation Corridor Project.

Explanation
The City of Gainesville has a Local Agency Program (LAP) agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the Enhancements of the Depot Avenue Transportation Corridor Project. All right of way acquisition for the project will be performed by the Florida Department of Transportation. The LFA and MOA will allocate funding for acquiring the necessary right of way for the Depot Avenue roadway between SW 11th Street and South Main Street (Segment 2).  The right of way costs for Segment 2 are estimated to be $3,616,425.

Fiscal Note
There is approximately $1,525,400 of LAP money remaining in the project that will be used to fund the right of way on the project. An additional $2,091,025 of CIP funding is proposed to supplement the remaining LAP funding. The right of way acquisition for this segment is therefore fully funded.

Recommendation
The City Commission adopt the Resolution.
