This item addresses the FDOT Maintenance Agreements for the 13^th Street Corridor and University Avenue Corridor.

Explanation

The CRA wishes to place certain streetscape improvements on the State Highway System in the areas cited in the specific maintenance agreements.  These agreements need to be approved by the City Commission prior to any construction activity taking place.  Since these are standard agreements that FDOT uses throughout the State for such activities, FDOT has requested that the City Commission delegate approval authority to the City Manager, or his designee, for all future such agreements.  City staff concurs with FDOT's requests.

Fiscal Note

Periodic maintenance and repair costs associated with the brick work will be covered within the existing annual operating budget of the Public Works Department.

Recommendation

The City Commission adopt the Resolution.
