BMX Track Request (NB)

Explanation

On July 10, 2001, the committee requested Recreation and Parks staff: 1) examine options with Community Development for available sites within the City for possible track development; 2) research with other municipalities on leased facility operations; 3) consider reimbursement of revenues, and 4) review County permit issues. Staff also to review county response to previous request. Three acres are needed. Staff concerns range from lighting, parking, bathroom facilities and other City codes. Mr. Kramer and Mr. Masciale were asked to work on negotiations.

Recommendation

The Recreation & Cultural Affairs Committee: 1) receive an update from staff; and 2) take appropriate action.
