EXTENSION OF MORATORIUM FOR I-1 AND I-2 (B)
ORDINANCE NO. 0-01-40
An ordinance of the City of Gainesville, Florida, amending Ordinance No. 001066 and extending the time period of the temporary moratorium on building permits, zoning permits, site plan approval and any other official action of the City of Gainesville permitting or having the effect of permitting certain industrial development or use on all real property located in whole or in part within the "I-1: Limited industrial district" and the "I-2: General industrial district" of the City of Gainesville, as more specifically set forth in this ordinance; providing a severability clause; and providing an immediate effective date.

Ordinance No. 001066 was adopted by the City Commission on May 14, 2001, imposing a temporary moratorium on certain uses and development within the I-1 and I-2 districts until November 12, 2001.
The City Commission, at its meeting of July 23, 2001 authorized the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance extending the moratorium for a limited period of time. The City Commission, at its meeting of August 27, 2001 revised the extension period from 31 days to 35 days ending on Monday, December 17, 2001.
