explanation

On September 13, 2010, the City of Gainesville was served with a Summons and Complaint.  The Petitioners challenge the City Commission's order that approved the design plat allowing for the subdivision of property located in the vicinity of the 800 block of the north side of 53rd Avenue as being inconsistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.  Petitioners seek to "permanently enjoin the City's attempts to approve a development order authorizing the construction of a "One-Stop Homeless Assistance Center'" on the property chosen by the City.
