An ordinance of the City of Gainesville, Florida; revising Article V of Chapter 2 of the City Code of Ordinances relating to boards and committees; providing directions to the codifier; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause; and providing an immediate effective date.

explanation

At the City Commission meeting on September 2, 2021, the City Clerk presented a proposed update of code sections regarding City boards and committees.  The City Commission directed the Clerk to work with the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance.

This ordinance requires two readings and will become effective immediately upon adoption at the second reading.

recommendation

The City Commission adopt the proposed ordinance.
