Lease Extension for 211 Northeast 1st Street (B)
Explanation
In June 1999 the City leased 211 Northeast 1st Street to Chandler, Lang & Haswell, P.A. for legal offices. The term of that lease expires on April 29, 2002 and Chandler, Lang & Haswell, P.A is interested in renewing the lease for another three-year term. This addendum to the lease provides for several changes. The name of the lessee is changed to Chandler, Lang, Haswell & Cole, P.A. The rent increases 5% from the current $2,667.00 to $2,800.00 per month for the term of the lease. The addendum creates changes in the parking agreement with Chandler, Lang, Haswell & Cole, P.A allowing them six parking spaces adjacent to the building and two spaces in the remainder of the parking lot. The new lease will expire on April 29, 2005.
Fiscal Note
The City will receive $33,600 per year in rent. This is an increase of 5% or $1,596 annually.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the Third Addendum to the lease between Chandler, Lang, Haswell, & Cole P.A and the City of Gainesville.
