Explanation
The City of Gainesville entered into an agreement with Water & Air Research, Inc., for professional engineering and surveying services for FY 1999. The Agreement executed on November 9, 1998 allowed for five (5) extensions. This is the first extension to the Agreement.
Water & Air Research's responses to the City's requests for services under this Agreement have been prompt, reliable and accurate. The Public Works Department recommends extending this contract for FY 2000.

Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified as needed from the Stormwater Management Utility, operating and capital project budgets.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the First Extension to the Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Gainesville and Water & Air Research, Inc., for engineering and surveying services for the period October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000, subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality and subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2000.
