This item seeks City Commission approval of the Committee's (CDC) recommendations on this pending referral.

Explanation

At its July 28^th regular meeting, the CDC reviewed and moved forward on this pending referral.

This referral came out of the recent City Commission deliberations on the Hidden Lakes proposed design plat.  There was a concern expressed by the City Commission that an original neighborhood meeting, conducted quite a few months before actual consideration of the Petition, was not sufficient to alert surrounding residents of the project.

As a consequence, direction was provided to staff to make appropriate revisions to the Neighborhood Meeting provisions of the Land Development Code.  This course is currently being pursued by staff.

The Committee discussed the status of this referral and determined that due to staff action that it could be recommended for removal from the Committee's pending referral list.

No fiscal impact.  

Recommendation

The City Commission: 1) approved the Committee's recommendation regarding removal of this referral from the Community Development Committee's pending referral list.
