Title
Reclaimed Water Irrigation System (B)
Explanation
Installation of the irrigation system for the baseball diamond at Kanapaha Park is a segment of the reclaimed water distribution system serving the southwest reuse service area near Kanapaha Water Reclamation Facility.
A cost analysis of this portion of the project was performed. It met the criteria for cost per gallon for reclaimed water disposal.
Invitations to Bid (ITB) were sent by Utilities Purchasing to four contractors known to perform this work. Three responses were received. One firm was disqualified because it was determined there were some unresolved quality issues with some of their earlier GRU work. A copy of the bid tabulation is attached as information. The recommended amount contains a 10% contingency.
Recommendations
The City Commission authorize the General Manager, or his designee, to execute a contract with Crosby Landscaping, Inc., to provide all materials and installation for a reclaimed water irrigation system at the baseball diamond at Kanapaha Park, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality and approve the issuance of a purchase order to Crosby Landscaping in an amount not to exceed $27,800.
Fiscal Note
Funds for the project are available in the Reclaimed Water Systems (WW-28) category of the Wastewater Capital Improvements Budget for the fiscal years 2000/01.
