Explanation
The Purchasing Division solicited bids from eight vendors for the FY 2000 Summer Nutrition Food Service Program. One responsive bid was received from ARAMARK - University of Florida.
ARAMARK - University of Florida, has been the food provider to the program for the last two fiscal years and has had an excellent performance record. Based on this, staff recommends award of the Summer Food bid for FY 2000 to ARAMARK - University of Florida.
Fiscal Note
The funds expended for this program will be reimbursed to the City by the USDA and the State of Florida.
Recommendations
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute a contract with ARAMARK - University of Florida, for the Summer Food Service Program, in an amount not to exceed $98,980.13, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
