Explanation
On August 3, 2000 the Downtown Redevelopment Advisory Board heard a presentation from Public Works Traffic Operations Manager, Brian Kanely, regarding proposed traffic and parking changes on Southeast 2nd Avenue and Southeast 2nd Place and approved a recommendation to the CRA.
On August 21, 2000, the Community Redevelopment Agency approved the DRAB recommendation to recommend that the City Commission approve the traffic operation and parking changes to Southeast 2nd Avenue between South Main Street and Southeast 3rd Street; and Southeast 2nd Place between Southeast 1st Street and Southeast 3rd Street as proposed by the Public Works Department.
On August 28, 2000 the City Commission approved the CRA recommendation regarding the traffic operation and parking changes to Southeast 2nd Avenue between South Main Street and Southeast 3rd Street, but did not take action on the traffic operations and parking changes to Southeast 2nd Place between Southeast 1st Street and Southeast 3rd Street as proposed by the Public Works Department. They directed the Public Works Department Traffic Division to return with additional information.
