The City Commission adopt the proposed ordinance.

explanation

At its meeting on June 18, 2009, the City Commission authorized the City Attorney to draft and the Clerk of the Commission to advertise an ordinance amending the General Employees Pension Plan to provide additional credited service to employees participating in a voluntary early separation program.

This ordinance requires two hearings.  Should the City Commission pass this ordinance on first reading, second and final reading will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009.
