RESOLUTION ACCEPTING REPORT OF ALACHUA COUNTY BOARD OF CANVASSERS - ANNEXATION REFERENDUM  (B)

A resolution of the City Commission of the City of Gainesville, Florida, accepting the report of the Alachua County Board of Canvassers for the City of Gainesville, Florida, referendum on annexation held April 9, 2013; and providing an immediate effective date.

Explanation

On April 9, 2013, a referendum for the Annexation of Areas 2 and 3 in accordance with Ordinance Nos. 120307 and 120308 was held.

The Report of the Alachua County Board of Canvassers showing that the referendum for Annexation of Area 2 as described in Ordinance No. 120307 failed, is adopted by this resolution of the City Commission.

The Report of the Alachua County Board of Canvassers showing that the refrendum for Annexation of Area 2 as described in Ordinance No. 120308 failed, is adopted by this resolution of the City Commission.

Recommendation:

The City Commission adopt the proposed resolution.
