Title Sale of Property at Airport Industrial Park To Ryder Explanation Ryder Truck Rental, Inc., is interested in purchasing 5.04 acres of land at the Airport Industrial Park for a total purchase price of $131,000. Currently the company is operating from an inadequate site in Gainesville that no longer meets the company's growing needs. The company will use the Airport Industrial Park parcel to build a 13,000 square foot truck maintenance facility. Fiscal Impact The City will generate $131,000 in the land sale, which the City is required to give to the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA). Closing costs will be paid from the proceeds of sale prior to the transfer of funds to GACRAA. Recommendation The City Commission authorize the City Manager to execute a contract for sale of Lot 21 at the Airport Industrial Park to Ryder Truck Rental, Inc., subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality and concurrence of the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority.
