R-83-38, R-83-66, and R-84-39, relating to the Pension Review Committee; amending Section 2(b) entitled "Appointment and Membership," by creating staggered five-year terms, eliminating ex-officio non-voting members, and clarifying that the Plan Administrator or designee acts as Secretary to the Committee; and providing an immediate effective date.

explanation
On April 23, 2001, the City Commission approved the City Manager's recommendation to alter and stagger the terms of office of members of the Pension Review Committee. Resolution No. 001219 modifies the section of the enabling resolution so as to provide for staggered terms, one of which will expire each year. The resolution also eliminates now outdated references to ex officio appointees to the Committee. These positions/committees no longer exist, and management simply staffs the Committee through the Plan Administrator (the City Manager) or his designee.
