Review of the City's Mission Statement by Leadership General Government III (B)
Explanation
On May 14, 2001, Leadership General Government III (LGG III) members were introduced to the City Commission and requested permission to perform a review of the City's mission statement as their group project. The Commission authorized the review. LGG III will present the results of their research and suggest several mission statement options.
Fiscal Note
Preliminary estimates for communicating the City's mission statement using several venues such as pamphlets; posters, calendars, business cards, plaques, vehicle displays, mail outs, inter-office mail, and, bus advertisements, range between $10,000 to $15,000. These costs will be borne by the various operating departments as appropriate.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) hear a presentation from Neva Holder and Gene Prince representing Leadership General Government III; 2) discuss the mission statement options; and 3) take appropriate action.
