Contract for the Installation of Landscaping and Irrigation in the NE 3rd Avenue Medians (B)
Explanation
The Parks Division sent out a request for bids for the Installation of Landscaping and Irrigation in the NE 3rd Avenue Medians (from NE 9th Street to Waldo Road), which will improve the appearance of this corridor. Four (4) vendors attended the mandatory pre-bid conference and bids were received from three (3) of those vendors. All bids were evaluated on price, references, and conformance to specifications and any exceptions to those specifications. Based on these factors, Oasis Landscape Services, Inc. was ranked number one with a bid price of $29,296.
Fiscal Note
Monies are available for this project in the First Florida Government Finance Commission 2002 (FFGFC 02) Capital Projects Fund.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) award the contract for the installation of landscaping and irrigation to Oasis Landscaping Services, Inc.; and 2) approve the issuance of a purchase order to Oasis Landscaping Services, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $29, 296.
