Amendment to License Agreement (B)

Explanation

On April 7, 1999, the City of Gainesville and Gainesville Commerce Center Limited Partnership entered into a License Agreement that licenses Gainesville Commerce Center Limited Partnership the use of the 56 spaces located in the northeast corner of the City Hall property.  As originally written, this agreement becomes active when Gainesville Commerce Center Limited Partnership obtains the first Certificate of Occupancy for the Commerce office building.

The proposed amendment to the agreement would add an additional condition to the release of the City Hall parking spaces.  In the amendment Gainesville Commerce Center Limited Partnership would received those spaces "for a period beginning upon the later of: 1) the issuance of the first Certificate of Occupancy for the Commerce Building; or 2) the completion by Licensee and acceptance by the City of the streetscape pursuant to the Agreement dated March 2001."   This would ensure that all on-street parking is completed prior to the transfer of the parking spaces at City Hall.
