Title
Advanced Control Consulting: Contract for Water and Wastewater Instrumentation and Control Technical Services (NB)
Explanation
Water and Wastewater Engineering staff have identified several projects at the Murphree Water Treatment Plant (WTP) that require the integration of improved instrumentation and control features to improve the efficiency of the treatment process. Specifically, these process improvements include modifications to the lime feed control system, enhanced control of the recarbonation system, improved feedback to set the prefilter chlorine dosage, and modifications to the filter level valve controls.
In addition to the Murphree WTP process optimization projects, technical support is needed in the areas of hardware selection and software programming for the plant control systems at the Main Street Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and the Kanapaha Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). Additional software programming is also required to refine control of the Santa Fe Repump Station.
The firm of Advanced Control Consulting has extensive knowledge and experience with the process and control systems at the Murphree WTP, Main Street WWTP, and Kanapaha WRF. This specific facility knowledge in combination with applied knowledge of control systems provides a valuable and unique combination.
Individual task assignments will be developed on a project specific basis. The task assignments will identify project scopes, time frames, deliverables, and cost.
