The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority has requested a Federal grant from the Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of $675,000. The grant is for (A) runway 10/28 Pavement Rehabilitation and Storm Water Drainage Improvement Study, (B) Environmental Assessment for Runway 6/24 Extension, and (C) Airport Master Plan Update.
For the purpose of receiving Federal Grant funds, the FAA requires that the City of Gainesville and the Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority both approve the Offer. The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority already approved the Offer and has requested that the City of Gainesville also approve said Offer.
