This item addresses the outcome of the City Commission's Strategic Planning Workshop to update the Goals and Objectives for Fiscal Year 2007 and Fiscal Year 2008. The Workshop was held on December 4, 2006.
Explanation
The City Commission Goals and Objectives for FY 2007 were discussed during a Strategic Planning Workshop at Ironwood Golf Course on December 2, 2005. Marilyn Crotty, Director of the University of Central Florida's Institute of Government, facilitated this retreat.
On December 4, 2006, the City Commission held a workshop at Austin Cary Memorial Forest to update the FY 2007 Strategic Initiatives and Goals, and establish any new initiatives for FY 2008. Ms. Crotty facilitated this workshop, and her summary report captures the City Commission's updates and additions to the City's Goals.

Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) receive the summary report prepared by Ms. Crotty; 2) reaffirm the modified Goals and Objectives for FY 2007 that are contained in the report; and 3) adopt the additional goals for FY 2008.
Alternative Recommendation:
The City Commission 1) receive the summary report prepared by Ms. Crotty; 2) discuss the Goals and Objectives for FY 2007 and FY 2008 that are contained in the report and make any agreed upon changes; and 3) adopt the Goals and Objectives for FY 2007 and FY 2008 as modified.
