Title Ratification of Contract changes to the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. Labor Agreement effective October 1, 1998 through September 30, 2001. Explanation These Agreements have been reached through negotiations between Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. and the City of Gainesville, and were ratified by the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. bargaining unit on July 1, 1999. These Agreements become part of the current collective bargaining agreement. Fiscal Note Funding has been anticipated in the FY 2000 budget to pay for these changes to the current Agreement. Recommendation The City Commission: 1) ratify the Contract changes for Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. covering the period October 1, 1998 through September 30, 2001 between the City of Gainesville and Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. a copy of which is on file in the Human Resources Department; 2) authorize the City Manager to implement the Agreements on behalf of the City, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
