East Gainesville Development Task Force Agreement
Explanation
On November 24, 1997, the City Commission approved providing funding support to and developing an agreement with the East Gainesville Development Task Force. In September, 1998, the City Commission approved the City's 98/99 budget which includes a second year of funding for the organization and tentatively approved the 99/00 budget which also includes funding for the organization.
Fiscal Note
$37,500 in Economic Development Funds have been budgeted in FY 98/99 and tentatively budgeted in FY 99/00 for services specified in the contract.
Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to renew the agreement with the East Gainesville Development Task Force with the amendments recommended by the City Attorney, for a twelve month period beginning January 1, 1999, with an automatic one-year extension allowed upon approval of funds in FY 99/00, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality, and providing $37,500 in funding support for services specified in the Agreement. (A copy of the attachments to the Agreement are on file in the Clerk's Office. After January 25, 1999, a copy may be obtained in the Economic Development Office.)
