The Nature Operations Manager position, managerial pay grade 70 ($37,211 to $55,958) functions sufficiently similar to other division managers in the Recreation & Parks Department including technical knowledge requirements and their application, responsibility, authority, supervision received and exercised, and personal contacts. For purposes of internal equity compensation should also be similar.
Fiscal Note
Due to an upgrade of the position arising from a job audit, a 5% salary adjustment is made and will result in an annualized fiscal impact of $3,300; this figure includes benefits. The Office of Management and Budget concurs with this assessment.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve upgrading the Nature Operations Manager from a managerial pay grade 70 ($37,211 to $55,958) to pay grade 73 ($41,782 to $62,833).
