Explanation
The Plan for orderly annexation of Gainesville's Urban Reserve Area proposes that the City and County work together to conduct one annexation referendum per year over the next six years, balanced geographically across Gainesville's Urban Reserve Area. The Plan also proposes that we extend the Interlocal Agreement for the Transition of Services upon Annexation (also known as the Annexation Transition Agreement) to 2014.

Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) adopt the proposed Plan to conduct one annexation referendum per year over the next six years, balanced geographically across Gainesville's Urban Reserve Area; and 2) extend the Interlocal Agreement for the Transition of Services upon Annexation (also known as the Annexation Transition Agreement) to 2014.
