On August 16, 2010, the City of Gainesville was served with a Summons and Complaint.  The Plaintiff alleges that it is owed monies due to the payment of a PIP claim which resulted from an automobile accident occurring on August 15, 2008.   Plaintiff claims that the City employee (their insured) and the GRU vehicle involved in the accident falls under commercial vehicle statutes, thus they are entitled to be reimbursed for the Personal Injury Protection benefits they paid out.  Plaintiff is seeking money damages, interest, and attorney's fees and costs.
