Explanation
The contract for professional environmental engineering services dated July 12, 1999 with Water & Air Research, Inc. will expire on September 30, 2000. This firm has responded to the City's requests for services promptly and their services have been reliable and accurate. The Public Works Department recommends extending this contract for FY 2000-2001.
The Contract for Fiscal Year 1999 allowed for two extensions. This is the first request for an extension.
Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified, as needed from the City capital project budgets.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the First Extension to the contract with Water & Air Research, Inc. for Professional Environmental Engineering Services, extending the term of the contract from October 1, 2000 to September 30, 2001, subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality and subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2001.
