Explanation
An ombudsman office can serve as an independent oversight agency for municipalities to provide neighbors and/or staff with a confidential avenue to address complaints. The office provides options, mediation, and information investigation to resolve the complaints and concerns of neighbors and/or staff. The office can be structured in different ways, operating under either a municipality's legislative or executive branch, and may be designed to offer a space for general concerns amongst neighbors or staff to resolved, or to resolve problems specific to one agency or program.

The City Commission hear a presentation from staff and discuss.
