Explanation

At its budget meeting held on July 17th, the City Commission asked for clarification and more information regarding the proposed operating budget for the Technology Enterprise Center.

Fiscal Note

The funds needed to operate the facility until it reaches financial self-sufficiency are available in the General Fund fund balance.

Recommendation

The City Commission: 1) hear a presentation from staff regarding the Technology Enterprise Center operating budget; 2) appropriate the funds needed from the General Fund fund balance to operate the facility during fiscal years 2001 and 2002; and 3) authorize the City Manager to advertise, interview and hire a temporary manager and executive assistant for the facility.
