Title Annual Contracts for Professional Architectural Services for Minor Building Facility Projects Explanation On August 26, 1998, the Purchasing Division advertised in the Gainesville Sun, Ocala Star Banner and the Urban News Journal and solicited Statements of Qualifications from 24 prospective firms for the provision of architectural services. Three firms responded to the request. Staff reviewed the qualifications and conducted discussions with the firms. Staff believes that each firm can provide special expertise and recommends contracting with all three firms to cover miscellaneous small projects on an as-needed basis. Fiscal Note Funds are available on a project-by-project basis. Recommendation The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to negotiate and execute contracts for the provision of architectural services with the following firms: Karl Thorne Associates, Inc., T. C. Skinner & Associates Inc., and The Rickman Partnership, Inc., subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
