Legistar upgrade
Explanation
The City of Gainesville has been utilizing the Legistar computer program for several years. During this period Daystar Computer Systems, Inc has been working with many other cities and counties and has created an upgrade product which incorporates many new features. These enhanced features include but are not limited to: enhanced World Wide Web reports; ability to use system database for board and committee information; enhanced referral tracking; ability to make simultaneous referrals to multiple committees; ability to create simultaneous numbering systems; enhanced editing capabilities and new user-friendly Legistar screen.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the Clerk of the Commission to sign the Client Work/Purchase Order with Daystar Computer Systems Inc, as a sole source, for an upgrade to the 32bit Legistar 98(4.0) version in an amount not to exceed $57,955.00.
