Explanation
The Hippodrome Theater is undergoing exterior renovations to replace the third floor windows, repair the other windows, repair masonry cracks and to chemically clean and seal the entire exterior of the building. Purchasing solicited bids from 1342 vendors and 4 contractors signed in at the mandatory pre-bid conference. Ewing Waterproofing Systems, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive bid at $110,500.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available in the Facilities Management capital projects account and from State Historic Preservation Grant #50068.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the award of bid to Ewing Waterproofing Systems, Inc. in the amount of $110,500 with a fifteen percent construction contingency of $16,575 for the exterior renovations to the Hippodrome Theater, for a total amount of $127,075.
