Explanation

The County Commission is considering the adoption of an occupational license to be effective on October 1, 2001.  Since the City has had an occupational license ordinance for many years, some coordination between the City and County would be appropriate.  Consideration of the City of Gainesville having the Tax Collector administer collection activities and identify common areas of information which can be accessed by the County and City.

Recommendation

The Commissions discuss coordination of occupational license ordinances.
