Subordination of Utility Interests to FDOT - SE Corner, SW 34th St and Archer Road (B)
Explanation
The State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has requested that the City subordinate its interest in two parcels of land located at the southeast corner of SW 34th Street and Archer Road, formerly known as Valley View Trailer Park. This request is in conjunction with the property owner's plans to relocate an existing FDOT drainage basin located on the property. The basin relocation will facilitate plans to construct University Towne Centre, a shopping center/restaurant development, on the site.
Staff has reviewed this request and confirmed that no electric, fiber optic, water, sewer or gas utilities exist within the areas to be subordinated, and therefore has no objection to the granting of the Subordinations.
Recommendations
The City Commission: 1) approve two Subordination's of Utility Interests to the State of Florida Department of Transportation, and; 2) authorize the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute the documents, subject to approval as to form and legality by the City Attorney.
