First Extension for Provision of Storm Sewer Pipe and Appurtenances for FY 2003 (B)

Explanation

The contracts for Provision of Storm Sewer Pipe and Appurtenances with Hydro Conduit dated October 30, 2001 and US Filter Distribution dated October 23, 2001 will expire on September 30, 2002. These firms have responded to the City's requests for services promptly and their services have been reliable and accurate.  The Public Works Department recommends extending these contracts for FY 2003.

The Contracts for Fiscal Year 2002 allowed for two extensions.  This is the first request for an extension of each contract.

Fiscal Note

Funding sources will be identified, as needed, from the City capital project budgets.

Recommendation

The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the First Extensions to the contracts with Hydro Conduit and US Filter Distribution for Provision of Storm Sewer Pipe and Appurtenances, extending the term of the contracts from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2003.
