Off Leash Pilot Program at Northeast Park (B)

Explanation

At the October 9, 2000 Commission meeting, approval was given to fund an "Off Leash Pilot Program Area" at Northeast Park.  This program provided the funding to build and maintain a designated leash-free area for the first year, which has since elapsed.  

The Parks Division of the Recreation & Parks Department conducted a survey regarding the pilot program.  The survey showed favorable results and staff is prepared to present an update on the project.

The City Commission: 1) hear a presentation by Recreation and Parks staff regarding the Off Leash Pilot Program; and 2) take appropriate action.
