Explanation
This agreement has been reached through negotiations between the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by FOP members on November 20, 2001. This Agreement covers the period from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2004.
Fiscal Unit
Funds have been anticipated in the FY 2002 - 2004 budget to pay for the changes to the current Agreement.
Funds are currently budgeted for the Fiscal Year 2001-2002. The costs for the Fiscal Year 2002-2003, and Fiscal Year 2003-2004 will be addressed in the budget preparations process for those years.
Recommendation
The City Commission ratify the Agreement for the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police covering the period of October 1, 2001, through September 30, 2004, between the City of Gainesville and the Florida State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police, a copy of which is on file with the Clerk of Commission. After November 26, 2001, the Agreement will be on file in the Human Resources Department.
