Amendment to RTS and Center for Independent Living of North Central Florida Contract (B)
Explanation
The City of Gainesville entered into a contract with the Center for Independent Living of North Central Florida (CIL-NCF) on April 12, 2004, for a one-year period. Under this contract, CIL-NCF services provided for RTS consists of re-certification or certification of ADA (Americans With Disabilities) eligibility applicants, travel training, and disability and sensitivity awareness training workshops.
The Regional Transit System is requesting approval to amend the Agreement for Certification and Recertification of Paratransit Eligibility for the following temporary additional services.
- ADA Paratransit Eligibility Determination at the cost of $25 per application.
- ADA Paratransit Field Certifications at the cost of $20 per application processed in the field.
- Ride Audits at the cost of $100 per month will be provided.
Fiscal Note
Funds for the temporary additional services are available in the RTS FY05 operating budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) approve the RTS recommendation to amend the contract; and 2) authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the contract as amended with CIL-NCF.
