Explanation
The City of Gainesville adopted the budget for 2000/2001 fiscal year during the two-year budget cycle in July of 2000. Actual revenues for FY 2000/2001 are higher than projected and need to be appropriated to particular budget line items. Unspent fund balance from the previous year also needs to be appropriated.
On December 28, 2000, the Fifth Avenue Pleasant Street Redevelopment Advisory Board considered recommendations for appropriation of additional revenues as well as unspent funds from the administrative and current project budgets. The advisory board has recommended specific appropriations.
On January 3, 2001, the College Park University Heights Redevelopment Advisory Board considered recommendations for appropriation of additional revenues as well as unspent funds from the administrative and current project budgets. The advisory board has recommended specific appropriations. Staff's recommendation differed from the Advisory Board in the following way. Staff recommended $15,457.81 to Stringfellow, $20,000 to Coordinated Public Signage and $26,741.19 to Streetscape/Park Matching Fund project budget. The advisory board recommended that all the $62,217 be added to Streetscape/Park Matching Funds. That would leave them as the only district not funding unified sign construction this year, and also would provide no funds for Stringfellow interest payments.
