Explanation
The Transportation Disadvantaged Program was established by Chapter 427, Florida Statutes, to provide transportation to individuals who are unable to transport themselves because of age, disability or income status.
The voting and alternate Mass Transit positions on the Alachua County Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board are currently vacant. These positions are to be filled by the Chairperson or designee of the local Mass Transit Board. It is staff's recommendation that the City Commission designate RTS Director Jeff Logan as the voting position and Chief Transit Planner Jesus Gomez as the alternate.
