An ordinance of the City of Gainesville, Florida, relating to airport hazard zoning regulations; creating and adding section 30-347 to the Land Development Code requiring all development to comply with airport hazard zoning regulations; creating and adding Appendix F to the Land Development Code containing airport hazard zoning regulations including establishment of the airport height notification zone and regulations of structures within that zone, establishment of the airport runway clear zone and regulations of land uses within that zone, establishment of the airport noise zone and regulations of land uses within that zone, regulation of land uses that would significantly increase the potential for aircraft bird strike hazard to aircraft operations, regulation of land uses that would cause visual impairment within three statute miles of a runway, regulation of educational facilities contiguous to the airport, providing for nonconforming uses, providing for judicial review and providing that the strictest regulation will prevail in case of conflicting regulations; repealing and deleting Article IV of Chapter 3 of the Code of Ordinances containing outdated airport zoning regulations; providing directions to the codifier; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause; and providing an immediate effective date.
