Fifth Extension for Professional Surveying and Mapping Services for FY 2005 (B)
Explanation
The contract dated August 3, 1999, First Extension dated September 11, 2000, Second Extension dated July 9, 2001, Third Extension dated July 23, 2002, Assignment Agreement dated April 2, 2003, and Fourth Extension dated September 1,2003, with Myers-Griffis & Associates, Inc. (formerly John W. Myers and Associates, P.A. Surveyors & Mappers); and the contract dated August 3, 1999, First Extension dated September 1, 2000, Second Extension dated July 13, 2001, Third Extension dated June 28, 2002, and Fourth Extension dated July 22, 2003, with Terrence Brannan Land Surveyor, Inc., for professional surveying and mapping services will expire on September 30, 2004. These firms have responded to the City's requests for services promptly, and their services have been reliable and accurate. The Public Works Department recommends extending these contracts for FY 2004-2005.
The Contracts for FY 1999 allowed for five (5) extensions. This is the fifth request for extensions of the two (2) contracts.
Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified as needed from both City departmental operating budgets and capital project accounts.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the Fifth Extension to the contracts with Myers-Griffis & Associates, Inc. (formerly John W. Myers and Associates, P.A. Surveyors & Mappers) and Terrence Brannan Land Surveyor, Inc., for professional surveying and mapping services, extending the term of the contracts from October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005, subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2005.
